Heel or arch pain with the first steps of the day
FOOT & ANKLE PAIN CARE • ATLANTA
Move from the ground up with greater confidence.
Personalized care for ankle sprains, heel and arch pain, Achilles symptoms, running injuries, balance limitations, and recovery after surgery.
UNDERSTANDING YOUR SYMPTOMS
Small changes at the foot and ankle can affect every step.
Foot and ankle symptoms can be influenced by local joints and tissues, footwear, training load, balance, calf strength, and movement throughout the leg. Evaluation focuses on the painful area while also considering the demands of walking, running, work, and sport.
COMMON SIGNS
Symptoms can show up in more than one way.
Ankle pain, swelling, or instability after a sprain
Achilles pain with walking, running, or jumping
Foot fatigue, balance difficulty, or pain related to footwear and activity
WHAT MAY CONTRIBUTE
The painful area is only part of the picture.
A thorough examination looks at how your symptoms behave, how you move, and what your daily life or sport requires. Common contributors may include:
- Ankle sprain or lingering instability
- Plantar-fascia or heel irritation
- Achilles or other tendon overload
- Reduced calf strength or ankle mobility
- Changes in footwear, running volume, or surface
- Recovery after fracture or surgery

Clear answers before your first visit.
Do I automatically need custom orthotics?+
No. Orthotics are one possible tool, not a requirement. Recommendations depend on your symptoms, examination, footwear, activity demands, and response to other care.
Can you help after repeated ankle sprains?+
Yes. Rehabilitation may address ankle strength, balance, mobility, confidence, and progressive exposure to the movements required for work or sport.
Do you treat plantar fasciitis and Achilles pain?+
These are common foot and ankle presentations. The plan may include load management, progressive strengthening, mobility work, footwear discussion, and selected adjunct treatments.
Can you assess my running mechanics?+
Running can be evaluated when it is relevant to your symptoms and goals. The focus is on useful, individualized changes rather than forcing one ideal running style.
