Outer-elbow pain with gripping, lifting, or racquet sports
ELBOW PAIN CARE • ATLANTA
Grip, lift, throw, and train with greater confidence.
One-on-one physical therapy for outer or inner elbow pain, tendon problems, throwing injuries, nerve-related symptoms, and recovery after surgery.
UNDERSTANDING YOUR SYMPTOMS
Elbow pain often reflects how the entire arm is being loaded.
Evaluation considers the painful tissues as well as wrist and grip strength, shoulder and neck contribution, work or training volume, throwing mechanics, and the repeated tasks that reproduce your symptoms.
COMMON SIGNS
Symptoms can show up in more than one way.
Inner-elbow pain with throwing, pulling, or wrist activity
Stiffness or loss of motion after injury or surgery
Tingling, numbness, weakness, or symptoms traveling into the hand
WHAT MAY CONTRIBUTE
The painful area is only part of the picture.
A thorough examination looks at how your symptoms behave, how you move, and what your daily life or sport requires. Common contributors may include:
- Common extensor or flexor tendon overload
- Sudden increase in gripping, lifting, or throwing
- Elbow-joint stiffness
- Shoulder, wrist, or neck contribution
- Nerve irritation around the elbow or neck
- Recovery after fracture, tendon repair, or other surgery

Clear answers before your first visit.
Do you treat tennis elbow and golfer's elbow?+
Yes. These tendon-related presentations are commonly managed with activity modification and progressive loading tailored to the person's work, training, and symptom response.
Should I rest my arm completely?+
Complete rest is not always necessary. Many people benefit from temporarily reducing aggravating load while maintaining tolerable movement and gradually rebuilding capacity.
Can elbow pain come from my neck?+
Neck and nerve-related problems can sometimes produce symptoms around the elbow or forearm. Screening nearby regions helps determine whether they are contributing.
Will I need a brace?+
A brace may help some people manage symptoms during activity, but it is not automatically required and does not replace progressive rehabilitation.
